"The Wedge" Showing at Fleur Cinema | Arts & Culture

An independent production studio, Backrow Studios, LLC, is proud to bring you their newest feature film, “The Wedge” at the Fleur Cinema Theatre in Des Moines on Thursday March 22.

The movie stars Mike Schminke as, “Flint” a pizza guy who gets mixed up in a casino heist on the Fourth of July. The character of Flint just can’t seem to catch a break; dumped by his girlfriend, stiffed by customers, and hassled by his boss, everything takes a twist when he witnesses a murder.

Starring alongside Schminke is Gabe Thompson, also known under the professional wrestling name of Gabe Octane, as the pizza manager in the film.

This film features many cast and crew originating from Des Moines including Jeremy Ray Smolik, Matt Sheridan, and Joe and Franci Sciorrotta.

The movie will only have one showing on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Fleur Cinema in Des Moines. The films runtime is an hour and twenty minutes.

Film is written and directed by Joe Clarke. Additional cast members include Isai Rivera Blas, Thomas Beecher, Tyler Thirnback, Jamie Schiller, Erick Tjarks, and Becca Anderson.

General admission is $8.50 and $6.50 for senior citizens (65 years of age and above).
