The U.S. Army Reserve has been gifted WWII archives from the 103rd Infantry Division. Retired Col. Chan Rogers presented the 103rd Expeditionary Sustainment Command, of the U.S. Army Reserve at Fort Des Moines with the artifacts.

The 103d Infantry Division of WWII fame was the division that spearheaded the invasion of southern France. It was on the southern flank at the Battle of the Bulge and lead participants in the “Mad Dash to Austria” to prevent the retreating German army from establishing a stronghold in the mountains.

The 103rd ESC will work to house the artifacts at the Fort Des Moines Museum known for its collection of artifacts pertaining to the women and civil rights movements within the United States Army.
