Adopt-A-Family this Thanksgiving and Christmas | Business
Major Mary Corliss of the Salvation Army called families, churches, clubs and businesses asking them to adopt a family this Thanksgiving and Christmas. The families who are adopted are provided food and/or toys.
In 2010, thirty-two families were adopted for Christmas and fewer for Thanksgiving. The Salvation Army provided groceries and toys for nearly 1,000 families and 2,500 children in need.
This year’s assistance will take place from November 28 through December 2 at the Temple Corps at Sixth and Forest.
