Free Severe Weather Spotter Seminar
The Polk County Emergency Management and the National Weather Service will be holding a severe weather spotter seminar on Tuesday April 3.
The seminar coincides with Severe Weather Awareness Week and will be free and open to the public.
The event will take place at 7 p.m. at the Polk County Emergency Operations Center located at 1907 Carpenter Avenue in Des Moines. Those attending should enter the building using the east side entrance.
Anyone with an interest in severe weather is encouraged to attend. For more information please visit the National Weather Service website or the Polk County EMA Facebook page.
