Kwanzaa can be described as a celebration of family, community and culture and there is an event planned for Des Moines.
The 7 Principles of Kwanzaa Community Celebration will be held Saturday, December 29th, between 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Creative Visions on 1343-13th Street Des Moines, IA. There will be activities for all ages.
The Hosts for this year's celebration are Concerned Citizens for Justice, Creative Visions, Jack & Jill, Inc., I'll Make Me A World In Iowa, Oakridge Neighborhood and Women Of The Vine.
