BIG SUPPLIES: Habitat Recieves Truckloads

Habitat for Humanity in Greater Des Moines received two truckloads of materials this week from a metro business.

Paul Davis Restoration in Des Moines donated the supplies to Habitat’s ReStore at 2200 East Euclid Ave. after a move to a new headquarters required a consolidation of their inventory. The materials will be sold to the public with all proceeds going to the nonprofit.

“The local Habitat receives quality used and surplus building materials for the purposes of selling them at a fraction of the cost for charity purposes. Many residents in the area are in need of affordable paints, lumber, windows and other items for their own projects and can find them all at the ReStore,” said owner, Chris Mangan. “We are proud to support the local Habitat program which provides prospective homeowners with the steps required to buy a home and participate in the building process. We are pleased to serve the non-profit with the much needed donation,”
