BUSY APRIL: Events Center Economic Impact | News

A month of dinners, dancing, sporting events and shows helped make April one of the busiest months in the Iowa Events Center’s history.

A total of 66 events took place in Wells Fargo Arena, Hy-Vee Hall and Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center. The events brought in approximately 100,000 guests and provided an economic impact of nearly $4 million for Polk County businesses.

Local non-profit groups also benefited from the events. Thirty-one groups manned concessions stands for April’s events, bringing in a total of $31,000.
