INMATE SOUGHT: Work Release Prisoner Escapes | News
An inmate at the Fort Des Moines Work Release Facility has escaped.
The Iowa Department of Corrections says 21-year-old Darnell Lee was placed on escape status Thursday after n unexcused absence.
Lee is serving a six year sentence out of Polk County for willful injury causing bodily injury and assault on a peace officer. His sentence began in October of 2010.
Lee is a black male, five-foot-ten and 186 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. Officials say he has several tattoos.
If you have any information on Lee’s location you’re asked to contact the Des Moines Police Department of the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
