BODY FOUND: Person Found Dead In Vehicle | News

Des Moines police are investigating a body found in a vehicle at a church parking lot Tuesday morning.

Police were called around 10:20 a.m. when a daycare worker noticed a body slumped over the wheel of a red Chevy Blazer in the back parking lot of the First United Methodist Church at 1001 Pleasant St. She went inside the church to call police.

Police say they aren’t releasing the name of the adult male until family can be notified. No signs of foul play were found, but an autopsy will be completed to determine the cause of the death.
