DRUG DEATHS: Motion To Continue Filed | News
Title (Max 100 Characters)
A pre-trial conference originally scheduled Friday for a Des Moines doctor facing ten charges of involuntary manslaughter has been delayed.
Dr. Daniel Baldi is accused of over-prescribing pain medication that lead to the deaths of ten patients, including Slipknot bassist Paul Gray. Baldi entered a not guilty plea to all ten charges in October.
Baldi’s attorney has filed motions to continue the trial, which was set to start next month, and to reset pre-trial deadlines and the date of the pre-trial conference.
He is scheduled to go on trial next month. If convicted, he faces up to 20 years in prison.
Dr. Baldi has agreed to stop practicing medicine until the case against him is settled.
