BOGUS CALLS: Man Charged With Impersonating An Officer | News
A man is facing nearly 30 criminal charges for posing as a Des Moines Police Officer.
Twenty-two year old Kevin Grimes is accused of using a radio to make bogus accident and fire calls. Investigators say Grimes made multiple radio calls using the names of actual Des Moines Police Officers.
Police responded to several of the bogus calls before they caught on.
Grimes is charged with 8 counts of impersonating an officer and 20 counts of obstruction of justice.
