HOMICIDE CASE: McKinley Charged With Murder | News
A man has been charged in the first homicide of 2013.
Des Moines Police arrested 42-year-old Lavelle Lonelle McKinley on a warrant Wednesday morning. Upon questioning him about the death of 47-year-old Cynthia Rouse, Police charged McKinley with first degree murder in her death.
Rouse was found in her apartment at 1050 21st Street Monday morning. Police say there were signs of trauma to her body that indicated her death was a homicide, but have not released a cause of death.
