BULLYING AWARENESS: Students Mix It Up | News

Des Moines high school students and staff are raising awareness about bullying this week.

Thursday was Mix It Up Day at Lincoln High School. During lunch students were supposed to sit by someone they didn’t know.

Organizers gave out hand-outs with conversation starters with questions like “Where did you grow up?” and “What do you like to do in your spare time?”  

Administrators say they are going to have more “Mix It Up” lunches throughout the year.

Friday is Black Out Bullying Day. All students are encouraged to wear black t-shirts.
