CHARITY FUN: Students Pie Teachers | News
Title (Max 100 Characters)
A few students got to experience something other kid’s only dream of, putting a pie in their teacher’s face. At St. Teresa’s School in Des Moines even the priest wasn’t safe from the flying pies on Friday.
It wasn’t all fun and games; the school was raising money for an organization called Mary’s Meals to help feed hungry kids in third world countries.
The students put money in jars to see which teachers would get a pie to the face.
They raised over $14,000, which will build a kitchen at a school in Africa.
The event capped off a week of learning about different aspects of hunger and helping those in need.
