POLAR PLUNGE: Raising Money For Charity | News
The temperature may have been in the single digits, but for some people looking to raise money for charity it was perfect swimming weather.
Sleepy Hollow Sports Park held its annual Polar Plunge on Friday.
Participants paid $5 to take a dip in the freezing lake.
All of the money raised will be donated to the organization Freedom for Youth.
The non-profit helps find jobs for at-risk youth and refugees who are new to the Des Moines area.
