GUN ACCIDENT: Friend Shoots Boy, 13 | News
A 13 year old boy was shot in the shoulder Saturday.
The Des Moines Register reports that two boys were playing with a handgun they had found at one of the boy’s home when it accidentally fired and hit the child. The boys thought it was unloaded as did the supervising adult, according to police.
It happened in the 1600 block of Leland Avenue in Des Moines. The boy’s condition hasn’t been released.
No charges have been filed.
