Zombie Burger One Step Closer to Opening | News
Title (Max 100 Charaters)
Construction has begun on the new restaurant and bar set to open at East 4th and Grand Avenue in Des Moines.
Zombie Burger is the new talk of the town coming to infect Des Moines with its thrilling concept. Chef George Formaro is the mastermind behind it all. He came up with the idea by combining his two passions – horror movies and hamburgers.
“If I wasn’t a chef, I’d be a horror movie makeup artist,” says Formaro. “These films have been my form of relaxation for years.”
Customers will have a choice of two dining experiences. They can get quick orders for on-the-go while others can have a full-service experience including taking a seat in the Drink Lab and relaxing with an adult milkshake.
“Out milkshake menu is going to have a ton of crazy flavor combinations. We’re going to be the Willy Wonka of milkshakes,” said Formaro.
Zombie Burger is scheduled for its opening in August. The southern wall of the property facing Grand was adorned in zombie-themed décor to generate excitement for passers-by.
The walls of their property weren’t the only things showing progress, Zombie Burger’s Web page also launched a landing page. Fans can sign up and receive the most recent updates and even what burgers are cooking up in the lab. More than 148 people have signed up so far and more so have joined the excitement on Facebook and Twitter.
