FENCE PROJECT: Pooches Get To Roam Free

Dog welfare hasn’t strayed too far from the news in recent months and one Des Moines group is taking the lead.

Now in its second year, the Fence Project Des Moines has so far put up 18 fences allowing more than 50 dogs to roam unchained.

This Saturday, April 28th, the group will put up their 19th fence, volunteering for Kiya Koda Human Society in Indianola.

It will give the dogs a safe place to exercise while waiting for a new owner.

More information on their projects can be found at fenceprojectdm.org/ or on their Facebook page.
